Kuehne + Nagel lifts forecast as high-tech cargo drives Q3 growth
· Logistics · Switzerland
Kuehne + Nagel raised its full-year profit forecast after a strong third quarter in which it gained market share in ocean freight and high-yielding air freight. Airfreight volumes rose 9.8% year on year to 619,000 tonnes, helped by semiconductor and cloud infrastructure shipments, while rival DSV's tonnage fell as it pruned accounts and absorbed Schenker. The forwarder has cemented its position at the top of the Air & Sea league tables. The update extends a mixed picture for global forwarders, where technology-related cargo is holding up demand while general volumes stay soft.
Why it matters:Technology-linked cargo is becoming the main growth engine for airfreight forwarders, and the K+N–DSV divergence shows how account selection and integration risk now separate winners as much as market demand does.

- Airfreight volumes reached 619,000 tonnes, up 9.8% year on year.
