Houthi Missiles Hit Aramco HQ; Saudi Strikes Yemen Oil Depot
· Security · Saudi Arabia · Yemen
Saudi Aramco's executive headquarters in Dhahran, eastern Saudi Arabia, was hit by Houthi missiles on Tuesday, causing a fire in part of the complex, the energy ministry said. Saudi Arabia said it intercepted four cruise missiles and five drones over Riyadh and the southern region. The Saudi-led coalition struck a fuel depot near Sanaa and ordered the evacuation of a Yemen oil facility before operations, which the Houthis vowed to retaliate for. A funeral was held for an Egyptian flight attendant killed in a Houthi attack on Riyadh.
Why it matters:Direct hits on Saudi energy infrastructure and aviation raise the risk of wider regional war and oil supply disruption.
